Our Stay would not have been as
joyable if you didn’t Care. Your
hospitality was overwhelming. We
appreciate your kindness, for it made
our stay on the Island worthwhile. It
was peaceful! Thank God for you!

We love Ms. Laura’s red rice & sausage, fried
chicken, and bread pudding. Everything is just
awesome.

Laura is a former co worker of mine from years ago. Saw her today and she told me how she is working to hang on to the cottage she inherited from her grandparents, William and Mary- by having tours of Sandy Island and renting out Wilma's Cottage by the day, night, week etc. ( Lee B., Hobcaw B., has several large tours set up this month) Laura has lived on Sandy Island her entire life. Come rain, shine, sleet or snow I never knew her to miss a day of work. She had to get up, drive to the community dock, drive her John boat down the river
to the public boat landing where another car was parked and drive on in to work by 8:00.
I thought you might enjoy reading the article and maybe take a tour or spend a night or two with Laura.
